THÈMES DE RECHERCHE

Dominique Gravel est titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en écologie intégrative . Il s'intéresse à la distribution de la biodiversité et son impact sur le fonctionnement des écosystèmes. Utilise des modèles théoriques pour mieux comprendre les mécanismes qui assurent le maintien de la biodiversité, affectent sa structure et son fonctionnement, conjointement avec des approches empiriques et en laboratoire (microcosmes).

Les thèmes de recherche du laboratoire sont :

  • Écologie spatiale, biogéographie et écologie des métacommunautés;
  • Réseaux d'interactions écologiques;
  • Écologie théorique, numérique et computationnelle;
  • Biodiversité et fonctionnement des écosystème;
  • Changements climatiques et foresterie.
